Members of the Township would adorn different colors in their hair to pledge their allegiance to their clans. Whilst bearing the colors made each member clear, the trend grew in popularity among the commonfolk. The old ways of dressing one's hair with colors still exists, however, only lost in the tumultuous swathes of color-crested crowds.
